Marfil Tannery, located in León, Guanajuato, is fully dedicated to 100% vegetable-tanned leather, rooted in a vision of progress and sustainability. Inaugurated by the President of Mexico, Miguel de la Madrid, the tannery was established with the goal of becoming a global leader in the leather industry. Since its foundation, Marfil has stood out for the exceptional quality of its products and its commitment to traditional vegetable tanning methods, recognized as some of the most environmentally friendly in the industry.
Since 1982, the founding family has continued to preserve and expand this vision. Recognizing the importance of innovation and environmental responsibility, Marfil has integrated state-of-the-art machinery, eco-friendly processes, and international certifications such as the Leather Working Group. This modernization has allowed the tannery not only to enhance the efficiency and quality of its production, but also to minimize its environmental impact, ensuring a sustainable future for the leather industry in León.

Who Are We?
We are a tannery specialized in 100% vegetable-tanned leather, using only the highest-quality raw materials, with extensive experience and a solid track record both nationally and internationally. We stand out as an eco-friendly brand with international quality standards. We are located in the city of León, Guanajuato, México.
We use clean, organic, and sustainable technology, which makes our products biodegradable and low-impact on the environment.
Our main input is vegetable tannin, derived from tree bark. This wood is sourced through certified and controlled supply chains that guarantee forest reforestation. The entire process is carried out in a SUSTAINABLE manner.
We proudly hold the prestigious Leather Working Group ecological certification.
